Weekend Detox Programme
This is for people who are overworked and over stressed, who are too busy at work with lunch meetings, after work social engagements and just need a week-end off to relax and revitalise themselves. The Detox will melt away the stress and remove toxin build up from your body leaving you with jolt of energy, a clearer mind and ready to face the world on Monday morning.
Follow these steps for a weekend Detox and renew your body and spirit;
The Rules
No Driving, it causes too much stress.
Switch off all phones (if possible) or do not make any calls and only answer in an emergency
No T.V or internet.
It’s only for 2 days...you can do it!!!!
Friday
Start by reducing or cutting out the amount of coffee and tea you drink during the day, do not eat any carbs after 6pm and don’t drink any alcohol.
Saturday
Wake up and STRECH every muscle in your body while lying in bed, then have a warm cup of water with ½ lemon squeezed in. Start your cleansing with a dry brush ALWAYS stroking the brush towards the heart. Have a shower and then drink the 1st juice of the day...slowly.
Relax listening to music or doing some meditation while drinking your 2nd juice mid-morning.
Heat up your soup for lunch time and enjoy every spoonful.
After lunch prepare a full body spa, apply a face and body mask, while giving your hair a deep conditioning treatment or leave in glossing treatment. Have a warm shower, take a nap or rest.
Have an apple for you mid afternoon snack.
Have your 2nd soup of the day for dinner and light some aromatherapy candles and settle down listening to your favourite music and read a good fiction novel to take you away from your stresses or you could simply write your own thoughts and feelings into a journal.
Have your final juice and enjoy the evening to yourself. Stay positive and repeat some positive affirmations that relate to you.
Before you go to bed, have a herbal tea and relax. Put on the D-tox foot patch before you get into bed.
Sunday
Same as Saturday, stretch, warm water with lemon, dry brush and a shower this time with blasts of cold water, and then drink your first juice of the day.
Do something creative this morning, paint, knit, sew, make jewellery, make candles whatever you have always wanted to try but never gave yourself the time to try it. There’s no pressure to get it right just let creative juices flow and see what happens. There are plenty of art and hobby shops to choose from. Have your 2nd juice during this time.
Heat up your soup for lunch and then take a refreshing walk regardless of the weather just enjoy the experience, hot, cold, wet, windy, let your body and lungs inhale the fresh air. Have a piece of fruit and take a nap or rest after your walk.
Have your next soup for dinner and then give yourself a neck and foot massage using aromatherapy oils when you are very relaxed try some deep breathing and meditation. Use this time to reflect and renew your energy, maybe write down your feelings in your journal, you may be surprised what comes out.
Have your final juice of the weekend and think about how you may renew your life with positive changes such as eating healthier, fixing a broken relationship, or having better interpersonal relationships at work.
Have a herbal tea before you go to bed.
Monday
Wake up refreshed and have your warm water with lemon.
